Tamsyn serendipitously came into my life in December of 2019 and in meeting her, I knew that I was dealing with someone profound. Our first conversation was a long one – about life, the universe and the things we do that holds us back in life. Tamsyn started to open my eyes – in a very gentle way – to a few of my blindspots, and I could not get enough of her wonderful energy. (I would only later find out that this energy is in part generated by the small rebounder she travels with!)

Prior to starting my coaching journey with Tamsyn at the end of 2020 I felt stuck. I was struggling in my relationship; my career was going nowhere and finances were at a very low point. I was not being very cognisant about the way I nourished and took care of my body. I was playing the victim card more times than I care to admit and I was projecting my problems onto other people – mostly those closest to me.

I knew I had to change. I asked for guidance and the following quote by Lao Tzu came to me and was in my mind every day for two months:

“When the student is ready the teacher will appear”

I was desperately looking for this teacher, but nothing seemed to fit. I decided to let go of the need to find my teacher, and as so often happens when we let go of things – they appear. She appeared.

I was away on a spiritual retreat. Sitting in the ceremonial space on the first night, I swear I could feel her energy before I recognised her bubbly voice introduce herself to some of the other guests. In that moment I knew: My teacher had appeared.

Tamsyn has guided me in changing my mindset completely. I’ve found ways to catch myself before I fall back into my familiar old victim mentality. I think her super power is that she has the ability to see the best in every single person – and she has incredible ways to bring that best version to the surface.

Tamsyn has taught me that we have to continue growing. She’s helped me to realise that the way to end our suffering is to start serving others, and this has created a huge shift for me. I am happy and successful in all areas of my life because of Tamsyn’s guidance.

I am showing up as the best version of myself everyday, and I’m able to do so because Tamsyn saw the best in me and was able to convince me to shine.
